Scottish indie rock

If we want Scottish indie rock to reflect some of the emotions that the Scottish landscape provokes when we visit Scotland, then "The Twilight Sad" are doing a pretty good job in their second full-length album “ Forget the night ahead” (2009).

Their music is melancholic, dark but also powerful and colorful. It’s characterized by the beautiful and deep voice of James Graham, which perfectly cohabits with the wall of sound produced by strings, piano and the endless round of noisy guitars. The album is also elegant, although not all tracks in my opinion share the same level of intensity and beauty.

“I Became a Prostitute” is the first single out - very boring video, but good track:
