Pantha Du Prince (with Panda Bear)

http://www.myspace.com/panthaduprince

Pantha du Prince just released on Rough Trade the new album - Black Noise which includes the participations of Noah Lennox (Panda Bear and Animal Collective) and Tyler Pope (LCD Soundsystem) to make it even a more interesting release.

For the record, Pantha du Prince is the electronic/minimal techno project of the young producer from Hamburg, Hendrik Weber; the below video, “Stick to my side”, which includes the vocals of Noah, is probably one of the catchiest highlights. The album is characterized by a low and beguiling sound, which although follows mostly a main base of minimal-rhythm is continuously surrounded and restored by a labyrinth of background noises, rumors and clanks, breaks and great comebacks. If the listener will have the time to go beyond the obviousness of the easiest tracks will discover a very attracting and brave record. A union of techno, indie-rock, electronic music that perfectly sits in today’s new music generation. Beat.

Dirty Projectors - Experimental Indie

Just a nice song before going to sleep from one of the most credited album of 2009 - Bitte Orca - from the Brooklyn based band Dirty Projectors.

Currently touring in the US: http://westernvinyl.com/events/

“There’s a world of cross-references in Dirty Projector’s music: stuttering modal riffs from Mali, the meandering melodies of opera or modern music theater, pygmy antiphonal vocals, Captain Beefheart, Zimbabwean and Congolese rock, King Crimson, Talking Heads, Dan Hicks and his Hot Licks.”

BH: Teen Dream

If possible they're even better than before (Devotion) - the sound is more undivided than earlier works and shares the same spell. This is an album that the more I listen to it, the more I fell in love with and the more I wonder why people listens to Beyonce. Don't care what other say, this band is one of the best I have heard in the last 5 years. Long life to Beach House, you bring me back to the best late '60s early '70s.

"Teen Dream" and "Contra" are the best confirmations since the beginning of the year. Very good stuff.
