Silversun Pickups are out with a new album entitled “Swoon”, promoted with the new first single “Panic Switch”.
This is the second full-length record of the band, which is able to mixture well a post-grunge energetic sound, somewhere around Smashing Pumpkins and Foo Fighters, with a touch of an earlier “late-‘80s shoegaze” sound. Nonetheless, the sound doesn’t maintain the same strong emotional reaction to the chaos, produced by bands such as the unreachable My Bloody Valentine (below a sample).
The band will be touring in Europe (including UK and Italy) and US after having supported the world tour of Snow Patrol in the US and Foo Fighters and Kaiser Chiefs in the UK. Is it going to be the great leap forward for them?
